* First of all, you get after using a detox foot pad is amazing. There is a notable improvement after several continuous days of use.
* An environmental lab with excellent accreditation, studied numerous foot pads samples. Mercury, nickel, arsenic and a lot of other things were absorbed in the pads.
* Numerous foot pads used by different folks were examined using a syncrometer. The syncrometer found the following chemicals after the pads were used: sudan black dye, asbestos, thallium, cadmium, plastic byproduct, copper, isopropyl alcohol, benzene lead, methyl alcohol, mercury, aluminum, nickel, arsenic and a fast green dye.
* People’s hair was analyzed by scientists previously and after using detox foot pads. The variation in the toxin levels was easy to measure.
* Japanese scientists used thermography to do a detailed examination of the foot pads. It was discovered that circulation was enhanced by the pads and then the body was detoxed.
* Alpha brain wave presence could be increased by the cleansing foot pads, as discovered in a study. The waves are found to be an integral part of the processes needed for relaxation and healing.
Keep one thing in mind. Avoid fake, cheap detox foot patches.
Normally there could be harmful substances or ones of low quality found in them. Mainly this is why many people couldn’t get adequate results from the detoxifying foot pads.
However when the items you use are proven and tested, the outcome is amazing. These are top standard foot detox patches that bring good results constantly.

Japanese Detox Patchese - SCAM PRODUCT OR NOT?
A Detox patch provides outer to inner cleansing and detoxification. The detox patch can be used on any part of the body, preferably in areas that draw perspiration. The preferred area for their application is the foot. According to Chinese medical knowledge, the human body has over 360 acupuncture points, with more than 60 of these acupuncture points being found on the soles of the feet. When the blood circulates to the soles, the detox patch can absorb toxins released from the acupuncture points. After just one night of body detox, there are significant changes to the smell and color of the pad (from brown to grayish black) reflecting the amount and degree of toxins that are extracted from the body.
There should be a visible reduction to this stain and change of color with regular use of the detox patch.
IMPORTANT TEST: If you doubt the connection between the sole of the foot with internal organs, there is always this simple experiment. If you are not allergic to garlic, cut a garlic clove in half and rub the fresh garlic side on the sole of your foot for approximately 45 seconds. Within a few minutes, you should be able to detect a garlic taste in your mouth.
While it is most common to place the detox patch on the bottom of your feet, they may also be placed other parts of the body with only a few exceptions. It is recommended that you keep the patch on the body for 4 to 8 hours. If using the patch on your feet it is suggested that socks be worn to prevent accidental removal while you sleep. Experts feel that the detox patch should only be used for a period of thirty days. After this initial cleansing period, simple maintenance is recommended every two to three weeks.
When detox patches are placed on the skin, the natural herbs and ingredients begin to emit infrared energy. This is a natural energy that the body will use to heal, repair and balance itself. This energy is needed more than ever in today's world to counter the invasive effects of our environmental toxins, as well as daily stress, injury and the aging process. Everyday we inadvertently accumulate toxic and unwanted matter inside our bodies, in our bones and muscles, in our fat and in our organs.
Physicians have known for centuries that health problems can result from the accumulation of foreign substances in the body and we are exposed to toxins and chemicals daily from the food or water that we consume. Over-eating fatty or processed foods, the air that we breathe and usage of alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and drugs are all just a scratch of the surface.
Another concern is the mercury content of fish and those of us who have had dental procedures using mercury amalgams. Our bodies eventually become flooded with toxins and we will eventually feel lethargic, perhaps lacking energy or focus. Our immune systems may struggle preventing us from fully recovering from common ailments or medical procedures. The natural detoxification of the body through the liver, kidney and lower gastrointestinal tract will become sluggish and physical symptoms of toxin buildup may include dark circles under the eyes, rashes, green or yellowish skin tone and weight gain. Some reports have even indicated that the human body can carry up to five pounds of additional weight from toxin buildup alone. Ailments such as stomach/gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, increased incidences of allergies and fatigue may be experienced.
There is no clear way to eliminate all of the chemical agents that are causing toxicity and disease but we must attempt to detoxify our bodies at least at the same rate they are being contaminated. Thorough and periodic cleansings, using means like detox patches or detox diets may be necessary to get our body back into balance and break up long-term congestion.

Detox Pills - Safe of Not?
In just about every detox program the use of detox pills is part of the cleansing process. Detox products are on the market to help you cleanse your body in just about every form imaginable. Detox pills may come in capsule form, tablets and even chewable. The pill industry realizes that taking pills is not for everyone. Consequently, pill forms have become more customer friendly. Not all detox pills are the same, they may vary in substances, color, size, shape, and purpose.
It becomes your beneficial duty to find out what is best for you to take under your circumstances. In other words, what kind of drugs have you been taking? Were these drugs prescription drugs or street drugs? How long have you been taking these drugs? Answers to these questions may help you to determine what kind of pills will do you the most good. For the past 50 years or more man-made chemicals and drugs have spread rampantly throughout the world. There is no end in sight to what you can order on the Internet.
Drug use is common these days and you will find more abuse continuing to arise among the young. If you are going through the drug detox process, you may go through the unpleasant experience of withdrawal. Drug detox pills can help you through this process. When you are trying to detox the body from drugs, be it prescription drugs or legal drugs you or the person who is addicted goes a certain period without that drug. This is your weaning time so that you body will become able to live normally without the substance.
The appropriate detox pills will clean drug residuals from the body and help you to make the adjustment. Detoxing the body with detox pills just as with other detox methods may very well bring some discomfort to the system. These discomforts vary depending on the individual. Depression, anxiety and cravings to name a few discomforts may occur. Sometimes the body does not know how to handle change. The use of detox pills to rid the body of toxins and other foreign substances may be an uncomfortable experience, but a necessary part of becoming internally clean and a brand-new you.
No matter what kind and brand of detox pill you decide to take make sure the expiration date is valid. An old expiration date will not give you the results you expect in the end. The value of medicinal properties change the longer they are kept on the shelf. Your best bet when buying detox pills is to shop in a store where the traffic is heavy. More than likely products move faster in these kinds of stores and there is little chance for products to be on the shelf with old expiration dates. Keeping your body clean is a daily challenge.

Detox Plan
Toxins inhaled everyday..
If you have a detox plan, chances are you will not forget to detox your body on a regular basis. Every time you turn on the TV, you usually hear something about your health. When you are in the doctor's office or any office for that matter, you will find magazines with several articles on health. These articles are usually recommendations and suggestions about what to do and what not to do. It seems that health concerns are very focused on the inside of the body.
Research has shown that what goes into the body is a major factor of what comes out of the body. Many emotions, frustrations, attention deficit disorder, mood swings, unusual coloration's, and brittle nails just to name a few may be indicative of your need for a detox plan and internal cleansing program. It has been said so many times that what you eat determines your well being.

Many emotions, frustrations, attention deficit disorder, mood swings, unusual coloration's, and brittle nails just to name a few may be indicative of your need for a detox plan and internal cleansing program. It has been said so many times that what you eat determines your well being.
Many food groups have been blamed for various ills of the body. Consequently, a detox plan is something you need to have in place to keep the body flushed out. A combination of environmental pollutants and an unhealthy lifestyle may be a danger to your internal organs. Almost every detox product has a suggestive plan for you to follow. Some of these plans are for seven days at the time and include a variety of ways to detox the body. Make sure your plan is geared to the body area that you would like to flush toxins out of. Just as you have a specific time to shower, brush your teeth and wash your hair you need specific times to clean your inside. You will want to cleanse the colon, kidneys and liver because these are primary areas where toxins seen to accumulate.
Your plan of action should be designed to restore normal bowel function and to promote regularity. It may include a variety of ways and times to achieve your goals. You must remember that toxins in the body may not be the only cause for your symptoms. Although headaches and dizziness are often linked to liver toxicity, there could be another variable that is causing you problems. Include in your detox plan a total body cleansing that will support the elimination of toxins, excessive mucus, congestion, and disease on a day to day basis. Also, include in your detox plan a professional that will help you to identify underlying areas that you may be unaware of.
There may be little that you can do about the external toxins you inhale day by day. That is why you need to have a detox plan that you live by daily. Toxicities are a much greater concern today than yesterday because of so many new venues in the environment, manufacturing and industries. In the spring and summer months, for an example, you have to watch out for pesticides and insecticides that are used very heavily to kill annoying insects.
When possible make minimum use of such products so you will not be exposed to the fumes. Remember a toxin is any substance that creates irritating and harmful effects in the body. The skin will inhale what ever is placed on it. Make sure your detox plan includes some detox baths.
Wonder detox foot pads really work?
We have natural processes that are designed to remove waste, but the amount of waste that is taken in cannot be completely removed by the body without help.
As your body collects more and more toxins, you may start to feel a decrease in energy and/or your immune system may not work as efficiently. It is necessary to cleanse the toxins so that you natural processes and organs can run at their optimum level. The easiest way to detoxify is to remove these toxins through your feet.
Our feet contain reflexology points that connect to the major organs. As these points are stimulated with the correct procedure, the circulatory and lymphatic systems are prompted to pull out the waste and toxins and gently remove them through the feet. This waste is dispelled in a concentrated form of sweat.
Detox foot pads are the easiest way to draw out those toxins. All you need to do is stick the pads on the arch of each foot for several hours, and then sit back and let the pads do the work. Many people prefer to sleep with the foot pads on. There are natural ingredients in the detox foot pads that react with the reflexology points in the foot. When you remove the pads after the detoxification is done, you will see that waste residue has collected on the pads.
You should continue to use the detox pads until you are free of toxins. Different brands of foot detox pads have different instructions, so make sure to read and follow the directions in order to achieve the best cleanse.

Detox pads - Is that possible to detox through our skin?
Recently Japanese detox foot patches that contain an interesting list of natural ingredients have become popular for detoxfying and healing. People apply the patches at night, and see the results in the morning. The patch will be dry before use, but after usage it will range from light brown to almost black, wet and in some cases will have a foul smell, depending on the amount of toxins in your body.
The visual evidence after using these pads is not only compelling but give us a low cost method of testing our levels of toxicity while we simultaneously detoxify. By simply removing the patch we can actually see some of the materials that have been ?suctioned? out of the body. Our progress is apparent when we see what comes out onto the pads when used over consecutive days, weeks or months. Though it seems the clay rings in the bathtub have not been tested companies that sell these patches have sent the used pads to the SCR Analytical Lab, which is a highly accredited Environmental Laboratory. The results demonstrated absorption into the patchs of nickel, arsenic and mercury, as well as benzene, isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, aluminum, cadmium, copper, lead, thallium, asbestos, DAB dye, fast green dye, sudan black dye and PCB (plastic byproduct).
Mercury Poisoning in Children from Teething Powders Pink Disease (Acrodynia)
A woman who had pink disease (mercury poisoning), as a baby reported, "I tried the Japanese foot patches for the first time last night and was amazed at what toxins came out overnight! She reported outstanding results with her arthritis in hands, thumbs and fingers gone saying, "I am completely off my arthritis medication after 2 years on VIOOX." After using 37 of these patches she reported: Her eyes have changed colour from brown/hazel to green/hazel. That the whites of her eyes have changed to clear white from yellowy colour with blood throughout. She also reported increased vitality and general feeling of well being and that the puffiness was gone from her feet so that her shoes became a bit loose. And most significantly her persistant cough of 2 years duration had completely gone.
These foot patches, instead of using clay use bamboo and wood vinegars (pyroligneous acids) which essentially are the fluid or sap derived from tree cells which have great absorbing power like clay does. Using natural products like clay with these sap based tree resins makes good sense. Each seems to have properties and methods of application that compliment the other. It should be interesting to note, when it comes to the placement of these patches on the soles of the feet that if one tapes a clove of garlic to the sole of one's foot, one will taste the garlic on his or her breath within minutes. This shows again the open permeability of the skin and its ability to transport chemicals into the entire system. Thus we can experiment with using the feet as a possible site for application of a glutathione gel taped to the sole of one's foot overnight and this might allow for better absorption. Transdermal TD-DMPS, which is being used so successfully to pull kids out of the shadows of autism, is four parts glutathione to one part DMPS, and is applied on the soft skin of the arms or thighs.
"There are around 4,000 sweat glands in the feet through which the toxins are emitted,Detoxification through the skin is basic to any program whose goal is the elimination of heavy metals and other toxic substances from the body.

Detox foot bath - scam?
Have you ever heard of those foot-baths through which an electric current is passed in order to draw out the "toxins" from your body? To someone who knows no chemistry, it can be quite impressive to see all these evil substances color the water various shades of brown, green, and blue as the current works its magic. (See this typical example.) Sometimes you see flecks of solids and bubbles of gas appear as your body is "cleansed". Well, this is an old parlor trick, a nice chemistry-classroom demonstration, and, of course, a highly profitable scam. It is offered by ayurvedic healers and other quackery practioners, including some naturopathic and chiropractic physicians, and can go by such names as Ionic Detoxification, Aqua Chi, Bionic Hydrotherapy®, etc.
Of course, it always feels good to rest your tired feet in a container of warm water, and the slight tingling sensation caused by the low-voltage current might even be rather pleasant. But the stuff about drawing "toxins" out of your body is pure bunk. That's the job of your kidneys, which are exquisitely suited to this task. Anyone who has taken a course in physiology knows that.
•there is no way an electric current passing through a part of your body can distinguish between "good" molecules and "bad" molecules ("toxins"), most of which are electrically neutral anyway;
•the skin is impermeable to all but a few chemical substances; there is no evidence that any that are found inside the body can pass through the skin to the outside, with or without the help of an electric current.
•All but a very few of the "toxins" produced as metabolic products are colorless— suggesting that what you see during these "treatments" is put there for show.
Some typical deceptive bunk
Some sites show pictures of what they purport to be blood cells before and after treatment, implying that the cells become less entangled or clumped together. Don't be fooled by this nonsense, which is usually attributed to un-named "doctors" and has never been reported in the reputable scientific literature.
Various goofy electrical instruments such as "Electro Dermal Screening" which are said to register various aspects of bodily health are used to "prove" the effectiveness of foot-bath treatments. In truth, there is no reason to believe that these devices, which are exclusive to the quackery-healing trade, measure anything significant at all, other than perhaps the gullibility of the subjects who they are used on.
Some promotions go really far-out in their appeal to the pseudoscience-inclined:
"The ... unit can rebalance energy meridians through the bio-charge. The complex energy fields of the unit permeate the water, realigning a body’s energy field. Many of the benefits of the unit can be attributed to the "re-balancing" of these energy lines allowing a body mass to function better. The action results in the initial purging of toxins and nucleic waste product generated within the cells and surrounding membrane."
So how do these things really work?
You place your feet in a bowl of water to which a bit of salt has been added. A small electric current is passed between two electrodes immersed in the water, which soon becomes quite discolored. The color, of course, comes from electrolytic corrosion of the metal electrodes. These are usually made of iron, nickel, and copper, all of which decompose into colored ions. These colors will vary with the amount of salt present and the pH of the solution, and they can be changed and greatly intensified by the substances that either added to the bath before use, or are present in the "soaps" often used to prepare the patient's feet. By-products of the electrolysis process are bubbles of hydrogen and chlorine gases (both of which are dangerous in confined spaces) and sodium hydroxide, commonly known as "lye". The latter tends to soften skin, allowing it to flake off, pick up various colors on reacting with the metal ions, and complete the illusion that one usually pays dearly for: individual treatments can be from $50 up, and the grossly overpriced power supply "machines" sold for home use can go for more than $1000. (You could of course build your own power source from parts obtainable from Radio Shack for around $35;)
And of course, all that really gets cleaned out is your wallet!

Wonder Detox Foot Pads really work?
One of the reasons why people forget to, or deliberately avoid detoxification is because of their daily schedules that are hectic. Detoxifying is something that they simply do not have the time to think about and take for granted despite the fact that there are simple ways to go about this. The use of a detox foot pad is one of the most convenient ways to rid yourself of these unwanted toxins to help prevent diseases that may cost your health later on in life.
These foot pads have been known to be a very good way to absorb toxins in the body. It is good to know what these pads are made of. They are rich in absorbents such as vinegar, bamboo, and tourmaline that help these foot pads in their success as a way of removing toxins. Take note that aside from its capability of toxin removal, it is also good for strengthening your immune system and improves blood circulation. It is known to help prevent exhaustion and fatigue that are also primarily caused by toxins.
In order for a Japanese detox foot pad to work the way it should, it is important to know how to use them. It is as simple as sticking adhesives on the soles of your feet. Just like band aid, you simply have to peel off the protective layer and stick the pad on your sole. It is important that you are able to keep the pads in place as not to make it fall off the sides. As a suggestion, you can remedy this by wearing socks all throughout the night.
Many people asked, can toxins really be removed through the feet? Imagine wearing a giant bandage on your foot while you sleep, and when you wake all of the toxins and poisons in your body will be gone. This is what detox foot pad manufacturers claim their products can do. Before you spend any money on these products, find out whether or not any scientific evidence backs these claims and try it yourself for a week. I personally think that make sure you will buy from reliable sources. Japanese is the inventor of this product and make sure it is originally produce in Japan.
Japanese Detox Foot Pads = Easiest and most convenient way of detoxification

The most effective way you can maximize the effects of a Japanese detox foot pad is to keep it on for minimum 8 hours. The best way you can do this is to wear them before you go to bed. This way you do not notice them one while you are asleep. There are also some who prefer using them while they are out for work or doing other things during the day. To be honest, it wouldn't really matter just as long as you keep them on for the prescribed number of hours it should be on.
An important precaution to remember is that you should never apply the Japanese detox pads on an area that has an open wound or cut, or intensely sensitive skin. This may cause irritations and infections that will do more harm than good. There are others that use detox pads when they feel muscular or body pains in their body. This actually works as well and does not necessarily mean that it should be restricted to foot applications.
After using the foot pads for quite some time, it is important that you do not forget to remove them. Once removed, you will be able to notice that the color of the pad has changed color from light to dark. This means that ample amounts of toxins have been removed. If you care about your health always remember to use a detox foot pad whenever you can.

MCGE – Winter 2010 – Ease-Out Day 1 – Orange Juice
Yay! Another taste. Oranges are good.
Well, I actually started the day with a glass of Lemonade to get me going. I never seem to get enough calories on the orange juice day so this time around I decided to have a couple glasses of lemonade throughout the day.
I have had 3 cups of orange juice and 1 glass of lemonade, and as I write this I am hungry. I am going to go make another glass of lemonade and another cup of orange juice as soon as I am done this post.
I am planning for 3 cups of lemonade, and 5 cups of Orange Juice.
I am using 4 oranges to produce 1 cup of orange juice. The orange I bought (organic from whole foods), came in a bag of 12. I bought 2 bags, and today realized I would need more for the two of us. The bags of orange were $5 each.
I currently have 2 different kinds of juicers here with me. I have a $1 plastic hand juicer, and $200 Breville Power Juicer – a centrifugal juicer style.
I did a very scientific experiment to see which would provide more juice. I juiced 5 oranges in each and yielded almost identical amounts of orange juice –around 2 cups.
Despite the power and promise of a better juicing experience, the $1 plastic hand juicer was more effective, easy to use and produced a better quality juice. The juice from the Breville Power Juicer was frothy, full of fiber and didn’t taste as, well, authentic. Somehow it tasted like a whipped drink from Starbucks.
The juice from the $1 hand juicer was clear, fiber free, and smooth tasting. I admint I could probably due to have a nice $10 glass juicer with a better filter, and some sort of compressor to squeeze the last bits of juice out of the pulp but it was pretty good.
Clean up is easier with the hand juicer. The Breville Power Juicer is a complicated mess to clean. It is not worth taking it out.
I should note, however, that tomorrow when I am juicing other fruits and vegetables, the Breville Power Juicer will be indespensable.
Watch for my reviews of juicers, as well as recipes for juicing in the coming weeks.
What do you think? How do you juice?

Ashton Kutcher quits the Master Cleanse in Australia by eating a Kangaroo
Posted on 18. Jul, 2010 by Mike in Blog, Celebrities
Upon hearing how The Master Cleanse works most people immediately know that it isn’t easy. But, fortunately there are many strategies that improve the chances of success that one can implement.
The first is to do The Master Cleanse with a friend or a group. Ashton Kutcher consciously chose to do the cleanse with his wife Demi Moore (Kutcher), and inadvertently chose to the the cleanse with us, here at TheMasterCleanse.org. The day they started the cleanse so did we, with our 9th quarter group cleanse: The Master Cleanse Experience – Group Cleanse Summer 2010.
Another very powerful strategy going into doing The Master Cleanse, especially when doing it for the first time, is to make sure your schedule doesn’t have any big events, where you will be tempted, if not overwhelmed into eating. Even the smallest event can have the biggest temptations.
I don’t think Ashton Kutcher implemented the later strategy. It’s official, Ashton Kutcher has quit the Master Cleanse.
According to recent blog post, Ashton Kutcher arrived in Australia a few days ago to open his new film “Killers” and also declared he has quit the Master Cleanse.
Hmmm, travel, and an international red-carpet feature film opening by a movie star. That sounds like a very hard period of time to choose not to eat solid foods and tote around a lemonade concoction, answering questions from EVERYBODY who see’s it.
I have to answer questions to random waitresses and friends who haven’t heard of it. I am a no-one. Imagine being Ashton, traveling in Australia doing press junkets to open a feature film. HA.
It’s no doubt you quit Ashton, and it happens to the best of us.
I just hope you quit more slowly than that 12 oz Kangaroo steak. Maybe a day of kiwi smoothies first? Or else that Kangaroo may be kicking around inside of you for a few more days than expected. I had a friend quit the Master Cleanse abruptly by eating a Burger King Veggie Burger, but this is the first time I heard of quitting the
Master Cleanse with a Kangaroo Steak:
Don’t worry though Ashton. The planning thing is a common pitfall. Weddings, holidays, office parties. All these need to thought about in advance to avoid conflicts and temptation.
I hope you try it again when you have 2 weeks of down time with the Misses where you have nothing to do but relax, appreciate each other, the cleansing process, and the clarity of mind that comes with it.
No word yet if Demi has quit the cleanse or not. It doesn’t seem like she has travelled with him to Australia. Good Luck Demi, and better luck next time Ashton.

Master List of Cleanses: 45 of the Good, Fad and Ugly Cleanses
When we set out to make a List of Cleanses, we thought it would be simple. Cleanses (also called Detox Diets), are becoming more popular everyday. There are hundreds of cleansing techniques, and thousands of cleansing products on the market today. Here at TheMasterCleanse.org, we are interested in how each of the cleanses can work with, both during and after, or independently of The Master Cleanse (our favourite Cleansing Diet or Detox Diet). But the more we googled “Cleanses”, and “Detox Diets” the more variations we got. Hundreds, no thousands of cleanses.
You might ask, what is the difference between a cleanse and a detox?. For many people the words cleanse or detox the word is synonymous. But for others there is a distinct difference. For me, a cleanse has a purpose of general cleaning, while a detox might have a specific target substance to be detoxed, like alcohol or cocaine detox for example.
So we built a list of cleanses We started researching every single cleanse that google would expose to our insightful queries. While we aimed high, targeting any cleanses that anyone has ever done, is doing or will ever do, but that is a tall task.
So we set 2 parameters for inclusion on the cleanse list: They key is it must be some sort of routine that people do, either by diet, or by product, or by process that is intended to cleanse the body and organ or system in some way. Second, in order to be included on this list of cleanses, there must be significant search traffic on the cleanse. I realize this might leave out some of the best cleanses quietly known to man, but that is what the comments are for, so make sure you leave a comment below
Now some cleanses are more popular than others. Popular cleanses have their own section below. Other cleanses are fad cleanses and still others are long lost or just emerging. Some we will even regard as “good cleanses” in our “Best Cleanses” list. We will do our best to compile a list of the best cleanses the world has ever know. Even the idea of a “Good Cleanse” makes for heated discussion.
For our purposes, we will define a good cleans as on that is natural, simple, effective and has at least a 75% favorable reputation from our sources found online. The problem then becomes how to identify and judge reputations. Fortunately there are tools for this, and more coming each day. I will be certain to update this post over time when I have full evaluations of the cleanse/product/manufacturer.
There are so many products found online, or even in whole foods, that look or sound the same, but particularly online. It is so easy to produce a nondescript herbal supplement that might have some cleansing qualities, quickly brand, package and market in a generic way. This leads to a great deal of confusion; a sort of paralysis by analysis where there is so much information, it becomes nearly impossible to make an informed decision. I believe, this fact is well taken advantage of by these very companies.
What’s more, many manufacturers hide behind their product and the army of affiliates promoting it. If they were only at “arms length” we might be able to find out who is responsible for the product at the end of the day. Who are these manufacturers? What else do they promote? What is their reputation? This list of cleanses is intended to be more than just a run-down of the latest greatest or oldie goldies. It is intended to be a resource for understanding leading and emerging products and manufacturers so that you can make an informed decision about what cleanse is right for you. Furthermore
There are few different ways to cleanse. First, you can do a cleansing diet. There are cleansing products sold in kits. There are also home cleansing recipes that include teas, or certain mixtures taken as supplements to a regular diet. Finally there are also cleansing techniques that aren’t exactly cleansing diets. All of these Cleanse Types are categorized into the following sections:
General Cleansing TermsCleansing by Specific OrgansCleansing by Specific ConditionsCleansing by FoodCleansing by Procedure
This list of cleanses is not exhaustive, although compiling the list was exhausting. We will try to list as many as we can, that are relevant, and not complete obscure. We will also continue to update this page, so watch for that!
A note on semantics. Some words have dual meanings such as cleanse, flush, detox, purify etc. We try to identify important differences in the meanings of words if they are relevant, otherwise you can assume that a Liver Cleanse is the same as a Liver Flush. All the cleanses listed below (the good ones anyway), tend to be natural cleanses that rely on juices and fasting. Juice Cleanses, and Cleansing Fasts are natural, time tested and not subject to marketing hype –although many companies simply box up the natural ingredients and hype ensues.
Be sure to click through on each cleanse type to read more about them from either our site or from our recommended resource. As always, don’t let your research stop here. Go out and do your due diligence. Your health is your responsibility alone. Take it and run with it.
Cleansing DIet: A specific diet designed to produce cleansing effects. The Lemonade Diet (Master Cleanse) would fall into this categoryDetox Cleanse: A specific cleanse that is used to rid the body of some specific substance or dependancy on that substance IE. Alcohol and Nicotine.Weight Loss Cleanse: A cleanse that produces weight loss either as a primary objective or a natural side effect (Master Cleanse)Natural Cleanse: A generic term used to describe a cleanse that has only natural ingredients or processes. (The Lemonade Diet would count, but perhaps not the Salt Water Flush)Homemade Cleanse: A homemade cleanse is one that can be made out of household ingredients, often the same as a natural cleanse.Body Cleanse: A whole body cleanse aims to rid the body of waste and toxins from the body as a whole. The Master Cleanse is a whole body cleanse. Colon Cleanse: Often aimed directly at the colon, colon cleanses also can cleanse the whole body when done as a part of a regime like The Master Cleanse (which is also a colon cleanser.Liver Cleanse: Liver Cleanse or Liver Flush is often combined with Gallbladder and Kidney Cleanses. Parasite Cleanses should be done first. It is a natural cleanse that uses Olive Oil and citrus juice like Fresh Lemon Juice. The process takes a full day and rids the liver of Gallstones.Gallbladder Cleanse: Basically the same as a Liver Cleanse.Kidney Cleanse: A day fast designed to rejuvenate the Kidney using a natural cleanse made from juices, herbs and other minerals. There are several variations.Lung Cleanse: Smokers can help efforts to quit, ex-smokers and non-smokers can also cleanse their lungs. Natural lung cleanses usually include Lotus Root.Stomach Cleanse: Usually refers to cleansing the whole digestive system or a Colon Cleanse. There is a product called the Flat-Stomach Cleanse which is just a Colon Cleanse. There are some dangerous ideas about putting strips of cotton in your mouth and pulling them out. Don’t do this!Digestive Cleanse: Just a whole body cleanse by another name. Will aim to rest the digestive system, usually through a fast.Blood Cleanse: The Master Cleanse is a good Blood Cleanse (there is a reason why it’s called The Master Cleanse –because it cleanses your whole body). Sometimes combined with Liver Cleanses. Juice cleanses, particularly Fresh Lemon Juice are best.Lymph Cleanse: Similar to Blood Cleanses, Lymph is the fluid that moves throughout your body transporting waste. It is also part of the defence mechanism fighting illness by isolating disease agents into lymph nodes. Herbal Teas and Juice Fasts are most common for cleansing the lymphs.Parasite Cleanse: Intestinal Parasites are probably the most destructive. We all have parasites. Symptoms of Parasites include long food transit times (time from eating to pooping).Candida Cleanse: Candida diets become necessary when Candida symptoms are present such as: Mucus Cleanse: Just another name for a colon cleanse as it cleanses Mucoid Plaque, but also other deposits of mucous where disease agents are often caught and stored.Constipation Cleanse: Clogged colons create constipation. Your whole body cleanse starts with getting regular. Eating more fiber is a long-time simple cleanse diet. Colon Cleanses or Whole Body Cleanse such as The Master Cleanse will get you started towards regular movements.Juice Cleanse: Juice cleanses involve 1 or more juices that aid in a particular function like Apple Juice for Kidney Cleansing or Lemon Juice for Master Cleansing. Often combined with a fasting diet of some kind where juice is the only food consumed (Mono-Diet).Herbal Cleanse: A herbal regimen designed for a particular result. Most Colon Cleanse products are herbal mixes.Lemon Cleanse: Lemon Juice is a staple of cleansing –even in the kitchen. Why do you think our dish soap first used lemon. It cuts through gunk.Acai Cleanse: Probably more hype than anything since just 1 food item can do little buy itself. If the product comes with a full regimen of fasting with juices or other herbs, or a detox/cleansing it might be sound. If it’s just a Acai pill you are likely being duped by the dozens of super aggressive billing practices of these scam companies. It’s a shame really, they are branding the word Acai as negative, when it is just they (marketing companies) who are negative.Fasting Cleanse: A fasting cleanse promotes the restriction of diet to a few or only 1 type of food, usually juices.Colonic Cleanse: A procedure that involves flowing water into the rectum and colon. Often herbs are added to the water to aid in cleansing. See also Enemas.Foot Bath Cleanse: Many believe that toxins accumulate in our feet. These cleanses involve a bath and foot pads that aid in drawing out the toxins into the water.Free Cleanses and Homemade CleansesPopular CleansesCleansing ProductsGood, Fad, and Ugly Cleanses
Who says that you need to buy a product to do a cleanse. We certainly don’t.
Of course, that only go so far. There are items we need to purchase, so the term Free Cleanses doesn’t really hold up. All cleanses cost money, even Water Fasts (water isn’t free you know). Every cleanse has ingredients such as Fresh Lemon, Cayenne Pepper and Rich Maple Syrup in the Master Cleanse. Others are herbal tea combination such as a Parasite Cleanse.
Of course, this website is all about The Master Cleanse, but in case you came here from somewhere where you wouldn’t immediately know that, here’s a quick run down.
The Master Cleanse is a “free” cleanse that is a very effective detox diet for weight loss. Many people choose to do it for the weight loss, and that’s OK because the health benefits come along for the ride.
The Master Cleanse, also know as the Lemonade Diet is a Homemade Cleanse that is made from very simple ingredients: Fresh Lemon Juice, Rich Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper (The Master Herb), and Pure Water. You can check out details on directions and ingredients throughout this website.
OK, so popularity doesn’t mean everything, just ask all the outcasts in high-school who are now some of our bosses. But, it does mean something. Maybe that something is just who has the best marketing (but that could mean they have put time and money into the product –but often it just means they spent lots of money on marketing). Sometimes that something is because the product is so good that it sells (and then someone goes out and spends lots of money on marketing –or they should).
Because Colon Cleaning is a big business there are many products available. When you are looking for a colon cleanser, the first thing you want to look for is the ingredients. Common ingredients include: roots of dandelion, black radish, rhubarb, and marshmallow. Aloe is also a good ingredient. This will help you understand the next thing to determine: Is it safe?
You want to understand the long term effects, and Short term effects, as well as the “Side Effects”. A Proper Colon Cleansing Program Removes the Mucoid Plaque From the Colon. This plaque is putrified waste inside your colon that didn’t make it out of the pipes. Pieces over time get stuck along the folds of our intestines. This is natural (especially in our modern carnivore/omnivore culture.
This should be both your short and long term target effects, with an emphasis on long term. If the product doesn’t claim long term effects it probably doesn’t have any.
“Colon cleanse” or “Bowel Cleanse” or “Intestinal Cleanse” or “Intestinal Therapy” are terms referring to a procedure (or a therapy) which has as its main goal having a clean bowel. A real “bowel cleanse” can take from 3 to 4 weeks up to a few months, depending on the person. But don’t get discouraged, it’s worth it!
Colon cleansing is a procedure which may include the use of many different supplements, and few days of FASTING. A good intestinal cleanse will also often include a parasite cleanse (which is the subject of our next section).
The Master Cleanse is also a great free homemade colon cleanser. The are a few keys to colon cleansing and choosing the best colon cleanse product
Long term use of most colon cleansing products can be harmful so make sure you know what you are doing before getting started.
Parasites create disease and they also love to live in diseased states. They can really get established if a disease state is not combated. This is why cleansing, and parasite cleansing should be done together. What’s more, parasites create a diseased state so that they enjoy their living conditions better.
There are a large variety of parasites. They can be as small as a single cell, organisms such as yeasts, molds or fungus, and even as complex as a 50 ft tape worm. These parasitic worms live in our bodies causing disease. Some say that as much as 2 pounds of parasites might be living in ones body at a time.
Like most living things they need to eat to survive. They eat what we eat, dinning on our glucose, fat, and proteins. They live off the cells in our bodies, robbing us of vitality. One of there most favourite, and readily available sources of food is our blood.
There are thousands of types of parasites, maybe tens of thousands. The wikipedia page has over 50 listed.
Intestinal ParasitesSkin ParasitesBody ParasitesBrain ParasitesColon ParasitesStomach ParasitesBlood ParasitesTapewormCandida (Yeast)Hookworm
Testing for parasites commonly includes the following procedures Biopsies, Stool Sample, Urine Sample, Blood Test, Skin Sample, CT Scan
Each brand of Herbal Parasite Cleanse is a little different, but most contain Clove, Black Walnut, and Wormwood. A good idea is to alternate various brands/combos to get the broadest spectrum of coverage. The parasites might also become immune to the toxins if the same dosage of the same herbs is consistently delivered (just like I became immune to rattle snakes by letting myself get bitten a little at a time over the course of time ;).

So that is our list of cleanses so far. As always we will update over time. But we need your feedback. What are we missing? Is there a cleanse you do that you love and isn’t popular? We would love to hear from you. Let your wisdom shine! Tags: best cleanses, Cleanses, Cleansing, Colon Cleanse, fad cleanses, list of cleanses, popular cleanses

Parasite Cleanse – Parasite Cleansing while Master Cleansing
Parasites infect everybody. We have all heard about parasites, but what not everyone understands is that we are all victims to them. Parasites are also not well understood; however, we do know that parasites cause disease and therefore a Parasite Cleanse is essential in order to eliminate the parasites, and encourage an at-ease state, as opposed to a dis-ease state in the body.
There is some debate about how many of us have parasites, but the argument is whether 80% of us do or whether it is 100%. We also know that parasites love to live in diseased states, so they can really get set up nicely if a disease state is not combated. This is why cleansing and parasite cleansing should be done together. What is more, parasites create a diseased state so that they can enjoy their living conditions more.
There is a large variety of parasites. They can be as small as a single cell, organisms such as yeasts, molds or fungus, and even as complex as a 50-foot tape worm. Parasites eliminate. They poop all over your insides. This is toxic for our bodies so is it any wonder we get sick? These parasites are stealing our nutrients and dumping waste in our environment. As I write this, I wonder if the Earth has a test for parasites. Hopefully we will find a way to live well in our host environment so that we aren’t exterminated by some function of the Earth, or by the greater body/mind that our Earth resides in.
WOW… Sorry about that. That actually makes sense to me :) But I digress… What we now need for our own parasite problems is a cleanse that will rid our bodies of these parasitic worms. First we need a test to find out if we have parasites, then we will find a killer parasite cleanse to rid ourselves of these menaces.
Really, there are too many parasites to list, but here is another resource if you’re interested. The point is that there are lots, and we need to get em out and keep em out.
Parasites first have to be ingested into our bodies in one manner or another. We ingest parasites in the form of eggs that float in the air we breathe, through the food we eat, in the water we drink, or from touching our mouths and noses after coming into contact with a carrier –very often the people (or pets) we love to touch (pet) and play with. Others still can access your body through your skin. I have even heard of one that will swim up your urine stream if you urinate in the waters of the Amazon River. If you ever go there, and are in a river. Don’t pee. And get out of the river too, there are anacondas there too.
Once our bodies are in a state toxemia, then the parasites seize the opportunity to carve out a home for themselves in a welcoming environment.
Through food and water intake.Through a transmitting agent, such as a mosquito.Through sexual conduct.Via the nose and skin.
The damage parasites cause is great. They destroy cells faster than cells can be regenerated. They produce toxic substances and allergic reactions as well as irritate and invade body tissue, including the skin and intestinal lining. Parasites put pressure on body organs and cause organ obstructions as well as depressing the immune system function while activating immune system response. All of this results in malabsorption of nutrients.
Parasites’ harmful effects are numerous. A great deal of our current ailments might be associated with parasites. The following symptoms are typical of parasite infection. If you have these symptoms you might want to consider a parasite cleanse.
ConstipationDiarrheaGas and BloatingIrritable Bowel SyndromeJoint and Muscle AchesAnemiaAllergiesSkin ConditionsTumorsNervousnessSleep DisordersTeeth GrindingChronic FatigueImmune DysfunctionCurvy Finger Nails
Itchy Nose or Itchy Rectum. This is actually a sneak attack to stay alive. They want you to itch your bum, and then itch your nose, helping the eggs migrate from your bum to you nose. Fun stuff to talk about. This sucks for chronic nose pickers. Guess it’s like they say –only break one law at a time. You should only ever scratch your nose or scratch your bum, but never both!
Over-Emotional StateFeeling VictimizedBi-Polar DisorderManic DepressionSuicidal Tendencies
The toxic waste of these parasites infects our blood. Try to remember that all substances are drugs in our bodies –everything can cause a reaction, potentially causing or worsening chemical reactions, or what we feel as emotional states.
First a word about who needs to test for parasites: everyone.
Some estimates state that up to 95 per cent of the world’s population host some sort of parasite. Some go so far as to say that every living soul is infected with parasites.
Parasites can make a nasty mess by making their nests in our colons. This causes problems because typical imaging test like x-rays, CT scans and MRI can reveal what looks like tumors.
Parasites can often be seen in our stool samples after colonics or colemas (which flush the colon with water and herbs). Breaking up “normal looking” waste can reveal long white strings, which of course are worm parasites.
There are several parasite tests available, but you don’t always need a product. There is one very simple test for parasites and all you need is sesame seeds.
But first you need to do some math! You know, the old parasite math test.
In a healthy state, the food we eat takes 20 or so hours to pass through our bodies. And since these nasty little eggs take around 27 hours to hatch (for some anyway) how are we going to test for the variations of possibly tens of thousands of parasites?
So we need to find out what is called our “Transit Time”, or the time it typically takes our food to move through our bodies from the time of consumption to time of excretion.
Eat something that passes with note, like carrots, or corn, but for good measure chase it with an indigestible seed. After having your marker meal, eat 2 Tablespoons of sesame seeds. Drink them down with water. Now watch the clock. When you first see sesame seeds, mark it down. Each time you see sesame seeds mark it down. When you are done seeing sesame seeds mark that down as well. Your transit time will be from the time you ate the food with the seeds, and half the time between the last movement in which they were visible, and the first one they were not. If the total time is more than 27 hours, you may have a parasite. That sounds like the beginning of a joke. You clean your fingernails with a stick and you might have a parasite –or you might just be a redneck (no offense to rednecks)!
Biopsies: needed to find cysts in the liver, lungs or brain.Stool Sample: Ova and parasites (O&P) test of the stool. The test is often falsely negative so three stool samples from three different days (at least two days apart) should be tested. There are many products available, and like any other product spectrum some are better than others. The best ones will include the above ingredients at a minimum.
50 Day Parasite Cleanse: Take a herbal parasite cleanse formula for 10 days, then stop for 10 days. Then take a different herbal parasite cleanse with a different formula for another 10 days. You will do 3 ten-day cycles of taking the herbal parasite cleanse. This process gets the parents, babies and any leftover waste they leave behind as they are dying.
Parasites are just like us. OK, only really for effect: they do like good food we can kill them by starving and/or poisoning them.
Just like our bodies have reactions to toxins and poisons, so do the parasites. Certain herbs will kill us too, don’t be fooled. Likewise certain herbs are toxic to the parasites. Starving them and poisoning them sounds like a pretty good tag team approach.
The Master Cleanse starves parasites, which on its own is likely a great parasite killer. But combined with herbal teas we have a powerful Double Whammy Parasite Cleanse: The Master Cleanse and a Herbal Parasite Cleanse.
Tom recommends this process for starving the parasites. He also recommends a 50-day cycle.
Try eating more raw food in general (well washed, of course). Pineapple contains the digestive enzyme bromelain. A diet rich in pineapple can help to clear certain parasites such as tapeworms. Papaya seeds contain enzymes that help to digest protein. They can be chewed, but watch out: they are as hot as mustard seeds. Carrots, sweet potatoes and squash are some foods that are rich in beta carotene, a precursor for vitamin A. Vitamin A is thought to increase resistance to penetration by larvae. Vitamin C and zinc also support the immune system. Tumeric and cloves are other spices that can help fight parasites.
Once we have gone through the hassle of killing these little bastards, we want to keep them out. This begins with a healthy diet, washing our hands regularly and watching our movements. We should be having regular movements. By eating well we will have regular movements with a transit time of less than 24 hours. By having regular bowel movements with transit times of less than 24 hours we will not allow any parasites that we do ingest to settle and hatch. They will be passed before they get the chance. Later, suckers!
It is reasonable to EXPECT to become infected by parasites but you can take precautions. Regardless of the level of precautions you take you should use a Parasite Cleanser once a year or so.
The following is a great list of ideas to help prevent re-infection from the Diagnose-Me website:
Wash your hands before eating and after going to the bathroom, changing diapers, or handling pets.Wash all fruits and vegetables before eating them.Do not use water from septic tanks or other potentially contaminated sources for watering vegetablesKeep your fingernails short and clean.Do not walk barefoot. Detox Diets Work?
The body is constantly taking in substances that are toxic and bad for the organs through the daily meals. The kidneys are the ones responsible for detoxifying the body, or purifying the body of all the poison that accumulates, but they are not super detoxification machines. If too much toxins accumulate, it may affect the organs and cause them to malfunction…similar to taking in poison and drugs.
Many health-conscious people are now turning to a simple detox diet to cleanse the body of these toxins. You may not realise it, but when you are sick, you end up eating simple food and sometimes not even eating at all. This is already a form of detox diet, but one that is essential to purge the toxins from your body and make you well again. As you take a detox diet, you are also reducing the intake of carbohydrates and fats, so this helps to cut down weight.
One thing to take note is that detox diet is definitely not advised for long term, because your body still needs nutrients and energy to function. Starvation or abstaining from proper meals only leads to more toxins been produced in the form of protein digestion (the protein comes from your body itself!), harming your body in the process.
So, what kind of detox diet can you take? The simplest one, as mentioned above, is just abstaining from food for a day (and you must remember to eat in the evening to supplement the nutrients and energy for your body!). This is similar to fasting, so it is attainable, if you have a strong mind.
The other way is to drink vegetable juice or having a simple meal of salad or vegetables. These help to supplement the body with nutrients while not contributing to unnecessary carbohydrate intake. If you find eating vegetables or salad tough, just grind them into juice and drink it, since it is much easier to drink juice.

Cleansing for the Colon Digestive System
This week Gareth Edwards, our Alkaline Diet Expert, Dr Young trained blood analyst and highly qualified nutritionist writes about the numerous health benefits of doing a regular cleanse and how cleansing our colon and digestive system can be a great way to accelerate our body’s move towards alkalinity.
If you often think about giving your body a great boost by doing a detox and cleanse of your digestive system, but do not know where to start, then make sure to read Gareth’s cleansing guide.
I remember a friend once telling me that when she had completed a cleansing fast, the first thing she did was to eat a whole box of chocolates. A cleanse or short period of de-tox can be a great way to accelerate your body’s move towards alkalinity. You need to ensure that it provides a solid platform for consistent change that you can sustain.
I actually perform a “mini cleanse” every morning. Starting the day with a glass of water with a scoop of pHour salts in it, sets me off on an alkaline path and (to be direct) aids elimination. Your liver is working hard to de-toxify your body through the night, so helping it with an alkaline start to the day is advisable. A salad or a green juice for breakfast is a great way to keep the ball rolling. You can follow that with powdered greens and pH drops if you feel yourself getting hungry during the morning.
Making a Shift:
Sometimes however, we may want to do something a bit more sustained than just a morning cleanse. If for example you were experiencing a health challenge, such as arthritis, bronchitis, digestive challenges or low energy a period where you “apply yourself to the task” may be what’s called for.
The starting points for this need to be what you eat, drink and a gentle exercise plan.
Five days where you eat mostly raw, low sugar vegetable foods with healthy oils, sprouted beans and seeds and high quality salt is likely to make a big difference to your overall wellbeing.
Drinking powdered greens and pH drops, dissolved in mineral, filtered or ionised water and / or green vegetable juices will help to support you in shedding stored acids and alkalising your body tissue and fluids. Avoiding animal protein, caffeine alcohol and sugar can take a bit of effort. Have the house stocked with plenty of fresh, ideally organic vegetables, some avocados and nuts and seeds to snack on. Empty your cupboards of chocolate, fruit juice and sugary breakfast cereals before you start. If it’s not there you won’t eat it!
Have lots of activities you really enjoy lined up, so that you fill your mind with thoughts other than ….. food (and drink)! Gentle, enjoyable, outdoor (grab some scarce, but essential autumn sunshine) exercise, is crucial to help eliminate any residual toxicity or acidity.
Making changes like this can affect your bowel habit and may mean you feel a bit under the weather. That’s ok. If you experience loose bowels, that’s a de-tox! If you get a little blocked up then you can use pHour salts or core cleanse to help move things along. If you run out of ideas of what to eat or drink then the Energise recipe book is a great source of inspiration.
Another Level:
If you are already eating and drinking this way on a consistent daily basis you might want to have a two or three day liquid cleanse. This means that you have (mainly green) vegetable juices, drink powdered greens and make some smoothies with broccoli, lettuce, cucmber, olive oil and soaked ground almonds. Remember to “eat” your smoothy. They still need digesting. Aim for a minimum of two to three litres of fluid a day. Maintain an intake of mineral salts while doing this. pHlavor spray and pHour salts are suitable, but pHour salts can promote loose bowels so should be taken in small doses initially.
You can use some of Energise’s detox products alongside this liquid cleanse. Clay can help draw acids out of your colon and body tissue. If you are going to the toilet regularly then a fibre supplement is not essential. Myco-detox formulas can be helpful, but remember your daily lifestyle and dietary choices will have a huge impact on the growth or decline of toxic life forms in your body.

Consult with a pH/nutritionally aware physician before starting if you are taking regular medication.Prepare your fridge and cupboards.See if you can find a partner to share the preparation and keep accountable with.Schedule a cleanse for a period where your social diary is less crowded, (unless all your friends are raw food, alkalisers!).Be sure to maintain your mineral levels when cleansing with pHlavor spray and pHour salts. Sea salt can also be used.Keep a balance. A bowl of salad in the middle of a liquid cleanse is OK!Have some foods and plans ready for when you finish your cleanse. Vegetable soup and some falafel would be better than a box of (organic, dark) chocolate!Disclaimer: Not intended to diagnose any condition, please seek help of nutritionally aware physician if experiencing health challenges.

Detox - Alkaline Diet Recipe #90: Leafy Greens and Ginger Stir-Fry
This delicious stir-fry reflects my love for pumpkins and squashes of all colours and shapes. They are typical autumn vegetables and I always collect pumpkins to make nice outdoor autumn decorations.
Apart from that I also love to eat them and got very excited when I discovered a recipe which includes the unusual combination of healthy and alkalising squash and leafy greens.
For this stir-fry you can use different leafy greens such as cavalo nero, green cabbage, chard or spinach which are all packed with nutrients and are high in calcium, iron, dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K and folic acid to name a few.
Squashes are also alkalising and are a good source of vitamins A, C, K and E, antioxidants and lots of minerals including potassium, magnesium and iron. I hope you enjoy this delicious and highly alkalising stir-fry as much as I do!
P.S. Do not waste the squash seeds, as they are loaded with minerals. You can roast them in the oven and use them as a healthy snack or in salads.
Serves 2
Ingredients
½ a squash, seeds scooped out and cut into 1cm pieces (if you are using a squash with a thick skin then peel the skin first)
1 onion, finely sliced
1-2cm piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
A few handfuls of chopped leafy greens (spinach, cavalo nero, chard or green cabbage)
1 red or green chilli, finely chopped
2 tbsp rapeseed oil (or alternative cold-pressed oils suitable for stir-fries)
Fresh juice of ½ a lemon
Himalayan crystal salt or celtic sea salt
Freshly ground pepper
A dash of Braggs Liquid Aminos (healthy alternative to soy sauce)
Instructions
Heat the oil in a large frying pan or a Wok pan and gently fry the onion for a few minutes. Add the ginger, chilli and garlic. Cook for a minute or so, but be careful that the garlic does not get burnt as it gets bitter otherwise.
Add the squash and a pinch of salt. Gently fry until the squash is just tender.
Toss in your leafy greens and add in a bit of lemon juice. Add a dash of the Braggs Liquid Aminos and season with pepper to taste.
Enjoy!

What is the Most Alkaline Drink on Earth
The alkaline diet is not just about the foods we eat, but also the drinks we consume too! Alkaline drink is just as important as alkaline food. In fact, the downfall of many healthy lifestyle plans (and the alkaline diet is a lifestyle, not a diet despite the misleading title is the fact that many people focus so much on their food, that they forget the drinks and end up undoing all of their hard work by drinking fruit juice, cordial, diet soda, tea, coffee etc.
So I’ll reiterate – what you drink on the alkaline lifestyle is just as important as what you eat.
So…
There are a few contenders! And my advice, up-front, would be to incorporate all of them into your lifestyle!
Alkaline, Ionized Water
First up is the alkaline, ionized water that I’ve been blogging on lately. This water is fantastic. Ionized water is highly alkaline, antioxidant rich, super-hydrating and filtered. When you use an ionizer you can set the pH of the water at the perfect pH 9.5 and alkalise your system all day every day! It’s great, you get alkaline, ionized water on tap! There is heaps I can say about alkaline, ionized water, but I’ve blogged a lot of this already recently and here are some of the best bits:
Why Alkaline Water is So Beneficial
The Ultimate Comparison of Alkaline Waters
How Alkaline Water Contains Antioxidants & is More Hydrating
Green Drinks (powdered)
Green powders/green drinks are a combination of powdered alkaline vegetables, sprouts, alkaline fruits and other ingredients. They contain ingredients such as wheatgrass, barley grass, spinach, broccoli, celery, cucumber, kale, avocado and more! You use these powders by simply adding a teaspoon (around 3g) to approximately 500mls of water, mix it up and drink it!
It’s as simple as that!
They are a great way to ensure that you’re getting your baseline of alkaline nutrition every day, and I personally drink about 2-3 litres of greens every day. And believe me, I know it when I don’t do this. I can definitely feel the difference.
Green Drinks (fresh juice)
Drinking a fresh green vegetable juice every day will change your life. If you don’t own a juicer – get one! I love to make fresh vegetable juices and I have one pretty much every morning before I leave the house and it leaves me feeling totally energised and vibrant. It is really easy to do, you just have to juice anything and everything that is green in your fridge!
Heh – it’s a combination! My favourite, most alkaline drink is a fresh green vegetable juice, diluted down with alkaline, ionized water and with a scoop of green drink added!
When I have this in the morning, I know my day is going to be a winner!
Stay hydrated, and alkaline
